Privacy Policy
Effective October 15, 2026. Applies to the Dance Coach website (oppsgo.com/dance-coach) and the Dance Coach Android app.
Summary
Dance Coach collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no trackers.
Camera
The app asks for camera permission only so it can track your body pose while you dance. All pose tracking runs on your device using a bundled model. Camera video, images and pose data are never uploaded, stored on our servers or shared with anyone.
Microphone
The app does not record audio from your microphone.
Data stored on your device
Your settings, daily best scores and streak are stored locally on your device. We cannot see them. Clearing app or browser data, or uninstalling the app, deletes them.
Clips
Video clips you record are created on your device and stay there unless you choose to download, save or share them yourself.
Notifications
Daily challenge reminders are optional, off by default, and scheduled locally on your device. No push server is used.
Children
Dance Coach is family-friendly and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
Third parties
The Android app makes no network requests during normal use. The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which may process standard server logs (such as IP address) to deliver the site; see Cloudflare's privacy policy. Links to other sites (for example Buy Me a Coffee) are governed by their own policies.
Helper chat (website only)
The website has an optional helper chat. It is off until you tap it. If you type or speak a question, the text is sent to our hub server (nick-sites-hub on Cloudflare) to get a short reply. The hub keeps only a daily request count for rate limits, not your messages. Push-to-talk uses your browser's built-in speech recognition, which may be processed by your browser provider (for example Google in Chrome); the microphone is used only while you hold the button. The Android app does not include the helper chat.
Sharing clips (website only, optional)
Sharing is off by default. A grown-up or user aged 13+ can turn on "Grown-up sharing" in Settings. A clip is uploaded only after you record it, tap "Share my dance" and confirm. Uploading needs a free passkey account on our hub (nick-sites-hub on Cloudflare); playing never does. Shared clips are public in the Community dances gallery. Every upload is checked by an automatic safety filter before it appears, and anything unclear waits for a human review. Location and device metadata (EXIF/GPS and similar tags) are stripped on the server. To report a clip, tap Report under it (3 reports hide it automatically). To delete your own clip, email tekjeep@gmail.com with your nickname and the clip, or remove it while signed in. The Android app does not include sharing.
